Alice Springs Aquatic & Leisure Centre

A state of the art aquatics and swimming centre in the heart of Australia; it’s something special with a heated indoor facility open 52 weeks per year plus outdoor pools open from September to April each year. The Alice Springs Aquatic & Leisure Centre includes a new $19 million indoor swimming facility opened in 2011.

In winter, the indoor facility is the warmest place in Alice! Water temperature is up to 32 degrees – a great place to relax on chilly day.

Remember it’s 1500km to the nearest beach, so in summer it’s the place to be. A massive 50m outdoor pool, grassed areas, BBQ’s, shade. It’s the only place to be this summer.

Best of all there is something for the whole community.

If you’re the next Ian Thorpe or Stephanie Rice we have ‘Learn To Swim’ lessons, lap swimming and clubs to help you along the way.

Want rehabilitation? Our indoor leisure pool has disabled access, and we also offer aqua-aerobics classes. Need to recover after sport? Try walking against the river rapids or in the 20 metre leisure pool.

Looking for somewhere to play or relax? Two waterslides, kid’s play areas, in-pool spa, water fountains and a river rapid.
